Crisis help and problem solving           

ORANGE ALERT
To sign up for Orange Alert, the University’s crisis alert notification system, log on to MySlice, select Orange Alert and follow the instructions to register your contact information. The Department of Public Safety will use this to contact you with information and instructions in the event of a campus emergency.

For health emergencies:
– Dial 911 from anywhere
– Dial 711 from a campus phone
– Dial #78 (#SU) from a cell phone
To report a crime:
– Dial #SU (#78) from a cell phone
– Call the Department of Public Safety at (315) 443-2224Call the Department of Public Safety
– Go to a blue light station and push the alarm button. A Public Safety officer will come to you
– Dial 911. You will reach the Syracuse City Police Department

  • If you or someone you know has experienced a physical assault:

  • If you or someone you know has experienced suicidal thoughts or other urgent mental health needs:
